This page explains how Clash Mirror handles data collection, site analytics, cookies and local storage, and where responsibility for third-party links ends.
Last updated: July 2026
Clash Mirror (clash-github.com, "this site") is a statically hosted download mirror and documentation site. The terms below describe how this site handles visitor information. By continuing to use this site, you accept this policy.
1. Scope of Data Collection
This site has no account system and offers no registration, login, comment, or subscription features, nor any form requiring an email address, phone number, or other personal identifiers. You can browse every page and download any file without submitting personal information.
Our server and hosting infrastructure may record standard access logs, including request time, request path, referring page, browser user-agent string, and a truncated network address. These logs are used solely for troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and bandwidth monitoring. They are automatically rotated and are not used to identify specific individuals.
2. Site Analytics
This site uses a self-hosted analytics tool to understand page views, traffic sources, device and browser distribution, and how visitors switch between platform tabs on the download page. Analytics data is aggregated and used only to improve page layout and content organization.
The analytics tool runs on our own infrastructure. Data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third-party advertiser or data broker. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the analytics tool honors it by default.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
This site's own pages do not set any identifying cookies. The analytics tool may set a small technical cookie to distinguish sessions; it contains only a random identifier and no personal data. Clearing your browser cookies will not affect any feature of this site.
Some pages use browser local storage (localStorage) to remember interface preferences, such as your most recently selected platform tab. This data stays on your local device and is never sent back to our servers.
4. Third-Party Links
Pages on this site link to external resources, including official websites of client projects, app store listings, and open-source community pages. Once you click one of these links, you leave this site, and any data handling that follows is governed by the third party's own privacy policy. We are not responsible for their content or practices, so we recommend reviewing them before proceeding.
Installers provided here are byte-for-byte identical to the official GitHub Release builds. If a download link points to a third-party distribution channel (such as the App Store), any data exchanged during download and installation is handled by that channel.
5. Children's Information
This site is intended for general visitors with a basic technical background and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect any age-related information. Since we do not collect personal identifying data, there is no additional data-handling scenario specific to minors.
6. Policy Updates
This policy may be revised as the site's features or hosting setup change. Any revised text will be published directly on this page, along with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes are not announced separately; the text currently shown here governs.
If you have questions about the practices described in this policy, check the related details in our FAQ or setup guide first.
